Career Change
how to Jumpstart Your CAREER CHANGE
A lasting career shift begins from the inside. But a career move also requires outer steps that reflect your inner changes.
Here, you'll find resources for both inner and outer change. I invite you to start with these articles:
The Stress-Free Career Change System is divided into three phases: Discovery, Zooming In, and Moving On. The following tips and articles are broken out in the same way.
DISCOVERY
The first building block is self-discovery. Rediscover your interests, talents, and skills to make sure you start with a focus on your inner nature. Then, gain understanding of your lifestyle wishes. What type of work enviornment do you prefer? What about travel and commute time? Last but not least, explore other self-assessment resources so that you can know yourself better.
ZOOMING IN
Now that you've learned more about yourself, it's time to zoom in on your next career. One way to do this is by interviewing informants. You can keep yourself on track with a weekly action sheet, or learn how to plan--even if you think you're allergic to planning. Check out other resources to help you expand your time and money.
MOVING ON
You know what you want and you're almost there. Try on your new career before moving to it. Learn some techniques to simplify making a decision. If it's difficult to stay in your present job, take some time for gratitude and beauty exercises that will help you appreciate the current moment and support you during this transition time.
